About the Role

We're hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to work across the entire surface area of Syntrek's autonomous development platform. You'll build end-to-end features that span from database schemas and API endpoints to the interfaces engineers use to configure, monitor, and audit AI agent workflows.

This role sits at the intersection of our AI infrastructure and product surfaces. You'll design APIs that expose pipeline state to frontends, build the configuration systems that control how agents behave, and implement the evaluation interfaces that assess agent output quality. The systems you build will handle real production workloads — this is not prototype work.

You'll need to be equally comfortable writing Python services that orchestrate LLM calls and TypeScript interfaces that render their results. We value engineers who think in systems — understanding how a database schema decision affects the API, the frontend, and ultimately the engineer using the platform.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement full-stack features across the Syntrek platform — from database to UI
  • Build and maintain REST and WebSocket APIs that expose AI pipeline state and configuration
  • Develop configuration interfaces for autonomous agent workflows, routing rules, and evaluation criteria
  • Implement data models and migrations for pipeline execution, audit logging, and cost tracking
  • Build evaluation review interfaces where engineers assess and calibrate AI agent output
  • Collaborate with the AI team to integrate new model capabilities into the product surface
  • Own features end-to-end: scoping, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring

Requirements

  • 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping production software
  • Strong proficiency in both Python and TypeScript — you can move fluidly between backend and frontend
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs with proper authentication, pagination, and error handling
  • Solid database skills: schema design, query optimization, migrations (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Frontend experience with React and modern state management in data-heavy applications
  • Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong testing discipline — unit, integration, and end-to-end testing across the stack

Nice to Haves

  • Experience building internal tools or developer platforms
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs (Claude, GPT) and prompt engineering patterns
  • Background in workflow orchestration systems (Temporal, Airflow, or similar)
  • Experience with event-driven architectures or message queues
  • Prior work on multi-tenant SaaS platforms

Benefits

  • Fully remote with flexible hours — we care about output, not hours logged
  • Competitive compensation with meaningful equity
  • Latest AI tooling and infrastructure provided — we use what we build
  • Direct impact on product direction in a small, senior team
  • Annual team offsites and generous PTO
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
